Mandel Bread
Mandel Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 eggs, 1 c. oil, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp. vanilla extract and 3 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, oil and lemon juice; beat well.
Add the remaining ingredients including chocolate chips and walnuts, if desired.
Shape into long strips and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 40 to 50 minutes. When golden brown, remove from the oven and cut at an angle while still hot.
Return to the cookie sheet and toast each side under the broiler.
Makes 2 loaves.
