Malasadas
Malasadas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/3 c. water, 1 tbsp. sugar, 3 c. flour and 1 c. warm milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Dissolve yeast in water and sugar.
Let sit.
Measure dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix butter, eggs, yeast and warm milk to dry ingredients.
Mix well to form soft dough.
Cover and place in a warm place to double its size (about 1 1/2 hours). Drop by spoonfuls in deep, hot oil.
Fry until brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Roll in granulated sugar.
Makes 3 dozen.
