Lively Lemon Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel, 1 c. fresh lemon juice (about 5 medium lemons) and 3/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In medium size heavy saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients until combined.
Cook over high heat, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Refrigerate until completely chilled before serving. Makes 2 cups.
