Leslie's Brisket
Leslie'S Brisket is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 brisket (smaller or larger, depends on your family), 1 bottle chili sauce (heinz), 1 pkg. onion soup mix, 1 1/2 c. mauishewitz concord grape wine and 2 1/2 to 3 lb. deckle (2nd cut fresh brisket), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In a roaster on top of the stove, slice 2 onions; sprinkle with salt (optional), pepper, garlic and flour.
Add 1/2 cup water.
Cover.
Cook on very low flame 1/2 hour.
Add meat.
Turn a few times and add another 1/2 cup water and one can tomato sauce.
Turn a few times and cook 2 hours.
Take meat out and cool.
Slice potatoes into pot.
Slice cooled meat.
Place on top of potatoes.
Cook 45 minutes more.
Add water, if necessary.
