Batter
Cream the butter and sugar well.
Add 2 egg yolks, beating well after each (other 2 yolks are used in the filling). Add flour and milk alternately, mixing well.
Add vanilla and soda water.
Beat egg whites; fold in last.
Bake in three 9-inch cake pans for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
