Layered Tortilla Pie
Layered Tortilla Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1 tbsp. margarine and 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Brown beef, onion and garlic in margarine.
Drain.
Add tomato sauce, olives, chili powder, salt and pepper.
In round 2-quart casserole, alternate layers of tortillas, meat sauce and 1 1/2 cups cheese.
Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over top.
Pour water at edge of casserole onto bottom.
Cover and bake at 400Β° for 25 minutes.
Uncover and let stand 5 minutes before cutting wedges.
