Layered Mexican Casserole
Layered Mexican Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. frozen tortilla shells, 2 lb. hamburger meat, 1 pkg. taco powder, 2 cans ro-tel tomatoes, chopped and 1 lb. velveeta cheese, grated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Preheat oven to 350Β°. Brown hamburger in skillet; add taco powder and 1/2 cup of water.
Simmer 5 minutes.
In large saucepan bring soups and tomatoes to full boil.
Remove from heat; add hamburger casserole line bottom with tortilla shells making bottom is covered, overlapping if necessary. Spoon the mixture from saucepan on top, smooth layer of shells and then remainder of meat sauce.
Top with cheese and bake 1 1/2 hour or until cheese browns.
