Sift flour a second time with baking powder, sugar and salt. Add egg, milk and corn. Stir until well blended. Drop batter into hot fat a teaspoon at a time. Maintain fat to 350Β°. Fry until golden brown, turning once with spoon.
Remove fritters from fat; drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
