Jean's Fried Pies
Jean'S Fried Pies is an easy dinner. Made with prepared 2 crust pastry and cooked, sweetened dried fruit (such as peaches, apricots, prunes, blueberries or thick applesauce), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Roll pastry to 1/8 inch thickness.
Cut with 4-inch cookie cutter.
On each round place 1 1/2 tablespoons fruit; moisten edges with cold water.
Fold over; seal with floured fork.
Fry in deep hot fat (370°) for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Or saute in a small amount of fat, then brown in 425° oven.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
