First 5 ingredients well. Add a little flour at a time, mixing well, until dough leaves the sides of bowl. Put flour on table.

Dough until smooth and elastic.

Put back in bowl and cover with towel.

Let rise until doublefold. Grease loaf pans.

Shape dough into 4 or 5 loaves and place in pans.

Grease tops of loaves with melted butter or margarine. Cover with towel and let rise until doubled.

Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes

1 hour.

Butter tops of loaves when you remove them from the oven.
