Jan Hagel Cookies
Jan Hagel Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. softened butter or margarine, 1 c. white sugar, 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix the first 5 ingredients together with egg yolk.
Press flat onto greased cookie sheet. Spread with egg white, slightly beaten. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar with a little cinnamon added over egg white. Top with sliced almonds.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes or until nicely browned. Cut into squares while warm.
Cookies should be thin and crisp.
