Jam Cake
Jam Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 eggs, well beaten, 3 c. flour, 1 c. buttermilk with 1 tsp. soda, 1 c. raisins or chopped dates and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
Sift flour with all spices and salt.
Mix soda with buttermilk.
Add to flour mixture alternately with beaten eggs; beat well after each addition. Sprinkle a small amount of flour over fruits or nuts; add jam and fold in batter.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
