Italian Cream Cake
Italian Cream Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. crisco, 2 c. sugar, 5 whole eggs and 2 c. flour (self-rising), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream butter and Crisco, add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
Sift flour and soda, add to mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in coconut and nuts, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, to which you have added 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Bake in 3 (9-inch) pans for 25 minutes at 350Β°.
