Irish Soda Bread
Irish Soda Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. unbleached plain flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 400Β°.
Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cut margarine into mixture until mixture resembles corn meal. Stir in caraway seed and raisins.
Set mixture aside.
Mix together milk and vinegar.
Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.
Add to dry ingredients, mixing until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and let cool completely on wire rack.
