Indian Pudding

Scald 1 cup milk in top of double boiler over direct heat; slowly shake in the corn meal, stirring until the mixture begins to boil.
Set the pan over boiling water; cook for about 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the molasses, sugar, butter and seasoning.
Add raisins; mix well.
Pour milk over top.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Serve with softened ice cream as a sauce.
