Hot Crab Soufflé(Or Shrimp Or Chicken) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 thin slices white bread or wheat, 2 c. canned crab or shrimp or chicken, 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Dice 4 slices of bread, with crust, in 9 x 15-inch baking dish.
Mix crab, onion, mayonnaise, green pepper and celery. Spread over diced bread.
Trim crust from remaining bread.
Place the four whole slices over crab mixture.
Beat eggs and milk. Pour over mixture in casserole.
Place in refrigerator overnight.
