Hot Cajun Pickles
Hot Cajun Pickles is an easy dinner. Made with 1 gal. hamburger dill pickles, sliced, 5 lb. sugar, 1 1/4 oz. garlic flakes and 1 (2 oz.) bottle tabasco sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Drain pickles in colander for at least 45 minutes.
Press out juice.
In large bowl mix sugar, garlic flakes and Tabasco sauce. In wide mouth gallon jar, tightly pack alternate layers of pickles and sugar mixture.
Fasten lid securely and set aside on counter. Every 24 hours for 5 days, turn jar upside down.
Divide pickles into sterilized pint jars and seal.
Chill before serving.
