Honey Whole Wheat Bread
Honey Whole Wheat Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. active dry yeast, 5 c. warm water (110~ to 115~), 6 tbsp. shortening, 1/4 c. honey and 4 c. whole wheat flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Sprinkle yeast on 1/2 cup warm water; stir to dissolve.
Melt shortening.
Remove from heat.
Add honey and remaining 4 1/2 cups water.
Mix whole wheat flour, instant potatoes, dry milk and salt.
Add to saucepan and beat until smooth.
Add yeast and beat to blend.
Then with wooden spoon, mix in enough all-purpose flour, a little at a time, to make a dough that leaves the sides of the pan.
