Homemade Rolls
Homemade Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. hot water (tap), 1 pkg. yeast, 1/2 c. sugar, 3/4 tbsp. salt and 2 beaten eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix water and yeast until dissolved.
Add melted shortening, sugar, salt and beaten eggs.
Stir in flour (will be very sticky). Pour into a large greased bowl.
Let rise double in size (2 to 3 hours).
Pour onto floured board and knead in flour (not too much).
Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place on greased pans; let rise for about 1 1/2 hours. Heat oven to 350Β° and bake about 20 minutes until brown.
