Homemade Lasagna
Homemade Lasagna is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. hamburger, 1 lb. lasagna noodles, 3/4 c. finely chopped onions, 1 clove garlic and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook noodles in 6 quarts boiling water to which has been added 2 tablespoons salt.
Cook rapidly for 15 minutes.
Stir gently.
Remove from heat and drain.
Pour cold water over to cool.
Cook hamburger in heavy saucepan until color changes.
Add onions, garlic, tomato paste, water and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch pan.
Start with a layer of noodles, then Mozzarella cheese, then cottage cheese, then meat sauce.
Continue layering in that order until all is used up.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350°.
