Holubky(Stuffed Cabbage)
Holubky(Stuffed Cabbage) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. rice (uncooked), 1/2 medium onion, chopped, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Scald cabbage leaves; set aside to cool.
Combine beef, rice, chopped onion, salt, pepper and milk; mix well.
Place tablespoon of meat mixture on cabbage leaf and roll.
Place cabbage rolls in large kettle; cover with extra cabbage and sauerkraut and juice. If you want more flavor, add an extra can of kraut juice, tomatoes and onion.
Cover; cook over low heat for about 2 1/2 hours.
