Herbed Tomatoes
Herbed Tomatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 large ripe tomatoes, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. coarse black pepper, 1/2 tsp. marjoram and 1/4 c. finely snipped parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Peel tomatoes.
Cut crosswise in half.
Place in deep bowl, sprinkling each layer with seasoning and herbs.
Combine oil and vinegar.
Pour over tomatoes, tilting bowl so all tomatoes are covered.
Cover.
Chill an hour or so, occasionally spooning dressing over tomatoes.
Drain off excess dressing and arrange tomato halves on a platter.
Serves 6.
