Helen's Shrimp Creole
Helen'S Shrimp Creole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. peeled, deveined shrimp, 4 c. chopped celery with tender leaves, 2 c. green peppers, 3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce and 1 (15 oz.) can tomato purée (approximately), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Saute onions, celery, peppers and garlic in butter until almost tender.
Do not brown.
Add tomato sauce, paste, purée, bay leaves, salt and pepper.
Simmer until flavors blend.
Add shrimp which are well drained.
Simmer about 15 minutes.
You may add cooked rice to Creole or serve over rice.
