Healthy Macaroni Casserole
Healthy Macaroni Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. whole wheat elbow macaroni, 1 lb. low-fat ground turkey, 1 c. red pepper, diced, 1 c. yellow pepper, diced and 1 c. onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Prepare macaroni as directed on box; set aside.
Saute onion, peppers and garlic in a deep frypan.
Add ground turkey and brown thoroughly.
Drain off any fat and add tomato sauce and spices. Return to heat for 5 minutes and mix well.
In a casserole dish (greased) combine macaroni and turkey tomato sauce with 1/4 cup lemon juice.
Cover with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake 45 minutes at 375Β°.
