Hawaiian Chicken
Hawaiian Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tsp. salt, 1/3 c. flour, 1/4 c. shortening, 1/4 c. soy sauce and 1 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix salt, nutmeg and flour in plastic bag.
Shake chicken in flour mixture.
Brown in shortening in skillet.
Arrange in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
Arrange pineapple over chicken.
Blend reserved juice and soy sauce with cornstarch, sugar and celery salt in saucepan.
Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
Pour over chicken.
Bake at 350Β°, covered, for 1 1/4 hours.
Serve over hot, cooked rice.
