Hamburger Quiche
Hamburger Quiche is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie shell, partially cooked, 1 lb. hamburger meat (ground chuck preferably), 1/3 c. minced onions, 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese and 1/2 c. shredded swiss cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Prepare pastry shell.
Preheat oven to 425°.
Brown hamburger meat in skillet with onions and green pepper, then drain off any excess fat.
Reserve a small amount and place remaining meat mixture in pastry shell.
Sprinkle cheeses over meat.
Beat eggs, cream and seasonings and pour over meat and cheeses.
Bake 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 300° and bake 30 minutes longer, or until firm.
Sprinkle remaining meat on top and bake 5 more minutes.
Let pie stand 10 minutes before serving.
Freezes well.
Serves 4 to 6.
