Grits Soufflé
Grits Soufflé is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. grits, 3 c. boiling water, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 stick butter and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Add grits to boiling water and cook gently until done.
Add salt and butter; mix well to melt butter.
Thoroughly mix eggs with milk.
Add a little of the hot grits to egg-milk mixture; return mixture to hot grits and mix.
Stir in grated cheese.
Put mixture into greased baking dish and bake in slow oven (325°) for 45 minutes, or until browned on top and a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
