Grits Casserole
Grits Casserole is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 2 minutes. Made with qt. milk, c. butter, c. hominy grits, c. cheese (gruyere) and . salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Bring milk to a boil, add butter then gradually stir in grits. Be sure to not use quick cooking grits.
Resume boil and continue cooking.
Stir all the while until mixture takes on appearance of cooked farina.

Mixture will take on a creamy appearance.
Pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole and allow to sit.
