Sift flour in a bowl. Add baking powder salt. Stir in the milk.
In another the eggs with the sugar until thick.
Add to the flour mixture; add the vanilla. Beat well with wire whisk; batter should be thick. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
Drop batter by large spoonful into oil. When golden brown, turn over. Do not pierce them.
Remove to a platter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or honey.
