Great Sugar Cookies
Great Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/4 c. shortening, 1/4 c. margarine, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs and 1 tsp. lemon extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix well the shortening, sugar, eggs and extract.
Blend flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Heat oven to 400Β°.
Roll dough to 1/8-inch thick on floured surface.
Cut with 3-inch cookie cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Place 1 or 2 raisins in center of cookie.
Bake for 6 to 8 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen.
