Granny's Squash Casserole
Granny'S Squash Casserole is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 34 minutes. Made with . yellow squash, sliced, medium onion, sliced, . salt, . sugar and . butter, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine squash, onion, salt and sugar.
Simmer with small amount of water for 20 minutes.
Drain well.
Mash with potato masher.
Add eggs, melted butter, flour, milk and cheese.
Add seasoning salt to taste.
Bake in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
Top with crumbs and bake 10 minutes more. It can be stored in a refrigerator for 2 or 3 days, unbaked. Freezes very well.
