Grandmama's Fruit Cake
Grandmama'S Fruit Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with . butter, c. light brown sugar, eggs, c. orange juice and c. grape juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix butter, eggs, sugar, juices, buttermilk (with the soda in it) and jelly, then add 4 cups flour and put the other 2 cups over the fruit; coat it real well.
Then add all the spices and the butter and egg mixture to the fruit, then add the pecans.
Mix well and bake at 250Β° for 3 1/2 hours, if using a steeple pan, or less time for loaf pans.
Line bottom of the pans with paper from grocery bags (cut to fit), grease this real good and dust with flour.
Test cakes to be sure if they have cooked long enough.
