Grandma York's Hot Rolls
Grandma York'S Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. warm water (not too hot), 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. salt (or to suit your taste) and 5 lb. straight flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Yeast in a small bowl.
Sprinkle a little sugar on it and put some warm water on it (not too hot or it will kill the yeast).
Big pan and mix your salt, sugar, shortening and water.
Add yeast into mixture.
Start mixing in straight flour, a little at a time, until you get the dough where you can work or knead it down with your hands.
Place in 2 greased bowls (approximately 1/8 cup of melted shortening in each bowl). Turn dough over in bowls and place in refrigerator.
