Combine butter and sugar.

Add eggs to this mixture, then other wet ingredients (milk, lemon juice and vanilla).

Sift flour, cinnamon, cloves, mace, baking powder and soda together and set aside. Cut up pecans, orange peel, pineapple, citron, cherries, almonds, raisins and currants in a large bowl.
