"Gooey" Butter Cake
"Gooey" Butter Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (17 oz.) box pound cake mix, 1 c. butter, melted, 4 eggs, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine cake mix, butter and 2 eggs, stirring until well blended.
Beat 1 minute.
Spread batter in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Beat in remaining 2 eggs and then vanilla.
Set aside 1/2 cup or less confectioners sugar.
Beat in remaining confectioners sugar.
