"Good As A Restaurant'S" Chocolate Mousse Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. granulated sugar, 1 2/4 c. all-purpose flour, 3/4 c. cocoa, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease and flour 3 (8-inch) round baking pans.
In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. With electric mixer at medium speed beat 2 minutes.
With spoon, stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool on wire racks.
Remove from pans after about 10 minutes and continue cooling on racks.
Prepare Mousse Frosting and use it to fill and frost cooled cake.
Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
