Gluten Stew (Mechado) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. gluten (1 small can scallops or dinner cuts, cut into 1 1/2-inch chunks), 1 c. (1 small can) tomato sauce, 6 potatoes (regular size), peeled and cut crosswise 1/2-inch thick, 1 small onion, minced, cut in little squares and 1 cinnamon stick, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors.
