Gladys Jones' Raisin Pie
Gladys Jones' Raisin Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. raisins, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tbsp. butter and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In saucepan, bring raisins and 1 3/4 cups water to boil for 5 minutes.
Mix remaining water with brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt.
Stir into raisin mixture and return to boiling.
Remove from heat and add vinegar, salt and butter.
Pour into unbaked 9 to 10-inch pie crust.
Add top crust and bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes.
