Gingerbread
Gingerbread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. molasses, 2 eggs and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream shortening.
Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Blend in molasses.
Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with hot water. Turn into well-greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes.
