German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (4 oz.) pkg. baker's german's sweet chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. butter, 2 c. sugar and 4 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt chocolate in boiling water.
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks.
Stir in vanilla and chocolate.
Beat in flour and milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold egg whites into batter and mix.
Pour batter into 3 (9-inch) layer pans, lined with wax paper.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Cool and frost.
