German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german sweet chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. sugar and 4 egg yolks (unbeaten), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Chocolate of boiling water.
Cool. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each.
Add vanilla and chocolate; mix until blended.
Sift flour with soda and salt.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately buttermilk chocolate mixture, beating after each addition until batter is smooth. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour batter into 3 (8 or 9-inch) layer pans, bottom lined with wax paper.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 30
40 minutes. Cool.
Frost with Coconut-Pecan Frosting.
