German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (4 oz.) pkg. baker's german's chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 c. sugar and 4 egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Melt chocolate in boiling water. Cool.
Set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add yolks, one at a time, beating well after each. Blend in vanilla and chocolate. Sift flour with soda and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture, beating after each addition until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites.
Pour into three 9-inch layer pans.
Line bottom of pans with wax paper.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool and frost tops only.
