German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Melt chocolate in boiling water; allow to cool.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time; beat well.
Add chocolate and vanilla.
Sift all dry ingredients together.
Alternately add dry ingredients with buttermilk to butter-sugar mixture.
Beat egg whites; fold into mixture.
Turn oven on to 350°.
Prepare four 9-inch round pans by spraying with a nonstick baking spray.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 20 minutes, or until cake tests done.
