Fruit Custard Pie
Fruit Custard Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, beaten, 1 c. sugar, 4 tbsp. flour, 1 c. milk and 1 tbsp. melted butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Line 8 or 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
Stew fruit (dried apples are best) in small amount of water.
When tender, mash and add sugar.
Pour into pastry and spread evenly.
Make custard of eggs, beaten with sugar.
Slowly add milk, mixing well. Add melted butter and extract.
Pour over fruit.
Bake in a 425° oven for 12 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350°.
Bake until custard is set.
Let cool before cutting.
