Fruit Cake
Fruit Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. raisins, washed and drained, 3 c. chopped dates, 2 to 3 c. chopped nuts, 1 lb. candied fruit and 1/4 c. molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix together raisins, dates, nuts, candied fruit, molasses and juice.
Cream together butter or oleo and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time; beat well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients.
Mix eggs, sugar and butter mixture into fruit mixture.
Add dry ingredients.
Line 2 tube or loaf pans with aluminum foil; grease well.
Bake at 275Β° for 2 1/2 hours.
Place shallow pan of water on lower shelf.
