French Toast
French Toast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter (no margarine), 5 eggs, 1 c. brown sugar, 2 tbsp. corn syrup and 1 loaf french bread, cut into thick slices, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cook butter, brown sugar and corn syrup until sugar is dissolved.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, vanilla and nutmeg. Set aside.
Layer cut up bread on top of syrup mixture in pan.
Pour egg mixture over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Serve warm.
Syrup is optional. Serves 6 to 8.
