French Onion Pie
French Onion Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 deep dish pie crust shell, 1 1/2 c. shredded american or mild cheddar cheese, 4 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/2 tsp. salt and dash of cayenne pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 325Β°.
Reserve 1/2 cup of the onions.
Sprinkle remaining onions on bottom of pie shell. Sprinkle cheese over onions.
Combine eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour over cheese.
Bake on preheated cookie sheet for 45 minutes. Sprinkle reserved onions around edge of pie.
Bake 5 to 10 minutes more (or until a knife inserted in pie center comes out clean). Let stand before serving.
Serves 6.
