French Chocolate Cake
French Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c flour, 1/2 c cocoa, 3/4 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/3 c butter or oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg whites; beat 1 minute.
Combine water, sour cream and vanilla.
Add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Blend thoroughly after each addition.
(With electric mixer use low speed.)
Pour into well greased and lightly floured (2) 8 in round pans at least 1 1/2 in deep.
Bake in 350 degree oven 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool and frost.
