Fourteen Day Pickles is an easy dinner. Made with 2 gal. sliced cucumbers (1/4 inch thick) or small whole ones, gal. water and pt. salt (not iodized), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Use a churn or some type of crock pot (No Plastic). Heat water to boiling and add salt. Dissolve and pour over cucumbers. Weigh cucumbers down in salt water so they are covered. Let stand seven days. Drain off water. Heat
1 gal. water to boiling and pour over drained cucumbers. Let stand for 24 hours and drain that water off. Add fresh boiling water with alum the size of a walnut and let stand twenty four hours. Drain off this mixture.
