Four Egg Cake

Butter or margarine until creamy and light. Beat yolks, one at a time.
Add vanilla. Resift flour baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add these to butter mixture with milk and beat until smooth.
Beat egg whites until stiff; add 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Fold egg whites into batter.
In 3 greased and floured cake pans at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Use frosting of your choice.
